POLYMNIA SONCHIFOLIA (POEPP. ET ENDL.) AND ITS GROWING IN CZECH REPUBLIC

Abstract
During the three year experiment acclimatization of
several ecotypes of the plant Polymnia sonchifolia (Poepp. et Endl) under the
conditions of CR - in Prague and in Lednice on Moravia was observed. The results
show that the plant may be grown in warmer regions of the country. A brief morphological
description of individual ecotypes is presented. In the conclusion basic directions
for yacon growing in CR have been created and several possibilities of tubers
usage.
